FEBRUARY 2017
Wednesday 1.217
First thing, R takes some of the turned timber into John at the workshop.
R collects the four frames from Cleeve Picture Framers for the Four Seasons commission which are destined for Australia. Of course unlike most artists I need the frames before I commence rather than on completion. They will really be quite sizeable paintings and balancing two on top of two making a very big square, it really looks quite monumental.
Thursday 2.2.17

Friday 3.2.17
There’s a lot happening in my studio at the moment, working on both paintings and experimenting with some three dimensional constructions,

Thursday 16.3.17
H K I & S leave to travel to Kev’s sister’s this of course being the half term holiday. After R gets back from London (he’s been to deliver the painting I’m exhibiting at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital with the Chelsea Arts Club group; although the painting has already been purchased by some doctor friends and collectors who are happy to loan it.
In the evening we go to supper at lovely Lady Arabella’s. She has a gallery in a converted barn in the grounds of their house. A wonderfully effervescent person and paints beautiful abstract works. Very interesting group, we are fourteen in all. I have the privilege of sitting at the top of the table next to John who is also a charming host, currently writing a book which he is researching as part of his studies at Oxford; a fascinating man, very interesting to talk to.
Friday 17.2.17
Working on large hare for the Cotswold Hare Trail. He’s enormous and stands taller than me. I am particularly doing it as he will be sold in aid of the National Star College.
